Update from Headquarters on Membership Increases
for Alumnae/Alumnae Associations (August 2024) 

 

Per Capita fee amounts for the 2024-25 fiscal year, effective July 1, 2024, will be as follows: 

  • Alumna members: $38
  • Alumna members within eight years of their initiation date (excluding alumna initiates) or members who have reached their 65-year member milestone:  $28
  • The major reason for the increase is the cost of living increase over the past several years. The last increase in per capita alumnae dues was a $10 increase in 2022, from $25 to $35
  • The vote to include the COLA (Cost-of-Living Adjustment) was to enable the dues to rise incrementally, and in smaller amounts

Why Invest in KKG by Being an Active Member and Paying Alumnae Dues? 
With the payment of per capita dues, members receive full membership benefits and alumnae associations receive:

  • Volunteer and professional staff support
    • Covers the cost associated with training, recruiting volunteers, and employing staff, including the Alumnae Experience team
    • Covers any costs culminated by volunteers and staff when managing the business of the Fraternity
      • Headquarters staff collaborate with our Alumnae Associations by providing support – handling logistics, connecting with leadership, answering general questions
  • Access to technology
    • Covers the costs to essential technology platforms to run the business of the Fraternity, including, but not limited to, KeyReports, OmegaOne, kappa.org, the membership database, etc
  • Supports the creation of engagement opportunities for alumnae
    • Alumnae dues allowed the introduction of Fleurish, a new, monthly virtual event series specifically for alumnae to connect with each other
    • The Fraternity Leadership Series, a speaker series designed to help our volunteers grow their skills, was developed
    • Offerings of virtual initiation events for Alumnae Initiates, virtual ritual events, virtual ritual and history education sessions – all of which are engagement opportunities for Alumnae Association members

       

 KKG Louisville Alumnae Association Dues for 2024-2025:
Basic Alumnae: $58
Recent Graduate (within 8 yrs of initiation): $40
Kappa Classic (initiated 50+ yrs ago): $40

 

Why does the Louisville AA need your dues?

  • Approximately 2/3 of your dues go directly to KKG Headquarters as a per capita fee, as of July 1, 2024
  • To fund the Senior Tea/gifts to recognize Zeta Gamma, Centre College graduating seniors
  • To fund the recognition of an outstanding Centre College senior via an award in memory of our sister, Shara Sisney Davisson, Zeta Gamma, Centre College
  • To help us plan, organize and offset some of the costs of the Founders Day event (decorations, raflles, door prizes, etc)
  • To fund milestone pins for active members who are recognized for landmark years of KKG membership (50+ year recognition)
  • For officer expenses including postage, checks, and more
